When we started this publication, our goal was to direct mail to every household with a 61554 zip code. We knew this was going to be expensive but thought it was a worthy investment to be assured of everyone getting our new publication. We decided to use the United States Postal Service to accomplish this task. With the USPS, we utilize “Every Door Direct” which is a bulk mailing process. Every postal customer, both business and residential, with the 61554 zip code, should be receiving the Pekin Hometown Voice each month. We also include all P.O. Box addresses with the zip code of 61555.

The postal carriers may decide to wait a few days to deliver bulk mail if they have a heavy load of mail, but every mailbox should be receiving them within a few days after we deliver them to the post office. This allows postal carriers to carry the publications on lighter mail days.
