Thank you for volunteering, for spreading the word about the YWCA of Pekin and the services we offer in Tazewell County and for your financial support along the way. We appreciate our community!

Each year we hold our biggest fundraiser of the year, our Angel Tree Campaign. This year we have decided to be a bit more direct with our fundraising efforts. We currently have a dire need and hope we can count on your support. If you have visited the YWCA lately, you will have noticed that our three parking lots need extensive repair. Quotes for repaving have neared six digits, so we continued to patch and mend as best we could. 

We are fortunate to have found a company that has generously quoted a much lower rate than previous estimates, finally making this project a real possibility. They have also graciously agreed to pave the three lots separately as we are able to raise the necessary funds. We can’t thank you enough for your support and hope you will consider donating toward this special plea, knowing every dollar you give will help ensure the safety of our visitors, members, and employees, as well as all the children we serve through our programs.

Your tax-deductible contribution toward paving the way to safer parking lots for the YWCA will be recognized by displaying your name prominently in our main building and on our social media pages. We hope you will consider a donation of $500 or more, as those will be honored with your name engraved on a brass leaf as part of the permanent Giving Tree displayed in our lobby. We also ask that you check with your employer to see if they will match your contribution.
