New Tazewell County Health Department Location In Pekin Now Open

Tazewell County Health Department (TCHD)'s much anticipated new location at 1800 Broadway Street in Pekin officially opened to the public for services the week of November 18.
The new location will be home to TCHD’s Clinic and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) services and is open to the public for appointments. “We are thrilled to be opening our new facility in Pekin,” Angie Phillips, RN, TCHD Director of Clinic Services said. “This will give us an opportunity to serve a segment of our communities that may have had challenges getting to Tremont in the past. That means more people having access to things like immunizations, lab work, and school physicals.”
For TCHD’s WIC program, the new location not only brings the services closer to the County’s population center, but the larger space also provides an opportunity to expand services in the future.
“We are excited to immerse ourselves in the Pekin community,” TCHD Birth to Five Division Director Beth Beachy said. “We have plans to add new features to our list of services. That includes plans for expanding breastfeeding services, offering weight checks, and promoting physical activity through stroller rolls.”
Clinic and WIC services will also remain available at TCHD’s Tremont location beginning in January 2025. These services will be available on a scheduled basis on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 1pm-4pm. For additional information, please contact JD Raucci at (309) 210-7805.
