On Saturday, March 1st, the Kiwanis Club of Pekin hosted their biggest fundraiser of the year, Stand Up for Kiwanis. This annual event is an opportunity to indulge in a lot of laughs and cheer on local friends as they try their hand at the mic. With a mixture of professional and first-time comedians, this event is a crowd-pleaser every year. 

A huge thank you to this year’s comedians: Dan Ibrahim, Osama Basal, Sonal Aggarwal, Scott Kriegsman, Alan Bensing, Austin Kleiber, Melvin the Entertainer, Blake Wirth, Jamie Freeman, Edgar Sandoval, and Paul Belcher II. We also enjoyed the comedic stylings of Greg Batton as this year’s host. 

Every dollar raised is invested back into the community through grants and sponsorships of local efforts to positively impact the lives of children. This year, over $14,000 was raised to serve our kids. We could not do it without all of you choosing to join in the fun and invest in the lives of local children.
