You’re invited to join us in Quebec City, Canada at Altrusa’s International 59th International Convention July 23–July 26, 2025. The location is near Parliament and Old Town Quebec. You will enjoy the Convention as well as all the good things that Quebec City offers. The convention is hosted by members of Altrusa International of Quebec City and members of District One. There’s a slate of activities at the International Convention. The convention starts on Wednesday with an Opening Banquet and closes at the end of the Installation Banquet on Saturday evening. There will be keynote speakers, amazing workshops, business gatherings, luncheons, a celebration of Life for Altrusans who have transitioned, and optional events that are educational and entertaining. You will leave the convention inspired with a deeper connection and understanding of what it means to be an Altrusan making a difference in your community.
Our keynote speaker at the International Convention is Tim Suter, Executive Chairman of the Suter Company. He served as President & CEO of the Suter Company for 25 years. During his tenure, Suter Company grew to more than 400 employees while managing to focus on employee care and community service. The company has seen 95 years and three generations of family ownership. The Suter Company was named “Best Large Employer” in Dekalb County for the past three years. Tim also serves as the President of Make A Difference DKC- a non-profit whose mission is to alleviate world hunger. So join us at the International Convention to hear this amazing speaker. You should leave inspired.
First time attending? No worries, there’s a first-timer session that Wednesday that should fill you in on everything you need to know about the International Convention. You may have the opportunity to participate as a delegate or alternate so there will be delegate and financial briefings on Wednesday as well. These meetings give you an opportunity to ask questions which helps other sessions run better. The Awards Breakfast is on Thursday morning. Foundation Luncheon is on Friday as well as an optional event at the hotel. Rocking the Tartan event takes place Friday to celebrate the historic culture of Quebec City. Food and entertainment will be included.
Quebec Airport (YQB) has most major airlines except Southwest. If you drive to the Convention, the hotel offers valet and self-parking. The weather in Quebec City in July ranges from high 70s to low 50s. This should give you opportunities to tour the City and enjoy the beautiful views and eye-opening tours that exist in Quebec City.
